Berkeley, California A hyperbolic roof with a chevron pattern of tapered Douglas fir rafters shelters the EW Studio. Lightly resting on six-inch-high perimeter clerestory windows, these rafters unite at a thin central beam whose tension cable profile shoots through the main entry door. The material composition includes cementitious interior wall panels, laminate glass floor, and custom sliding doors.
